I need help. How or where can I find a record of me flying off the HANCOCK and going to Ubon AF base in Thailand around 24 February 1972. This was during the time Sammy Davis USO tour was on the ship. Any help is appreciated. I was in Deck Department, 2nd division from January 69 to November 72.

Robert, the Hancock had her own COD, and if you can find the Flight Log for that day, you will be in like Flint. The best place to look for them is in the National Archives. Go here: - Good Luck!

I need some help from your Crew members, please read this Request:

"Good afternoon.
I found some old love letters in the attic of the house I just bought and they belong to a Michael Gusman from 1975 who was aboard the USS Hancock. Is there anyway to get in touch with him so I can return them to their owner. I figured that they would want something like these, that were so meaningful.
Thank you,

Mac, where were you trying to check in? If it was Members Only, I found no email nor name in the database. You will need to register there. I sent you an invite to do that.
Also there is no log-in required in the Ships Store. So where were you trying to log in?
I will help you out, just let me know. 😀

(98) Hello to USS Hancock Association..

I joined the Destroyer HMS Consort aged 16 in August 1955 as a boy telegraphist. At the time, she was in dry dock, Singapore. After 'Working up', we spent Christmas in Hong Kong. Early in the New Year, we sailed to exercise with the American 7th Fleet off Japan. Enroute, we fell foul of typhoon 'Babs, suffering a substantial amount of weather damage which required the cutting away of 'A' and 'B' "gun ready use" ammunition lockers that had been crushed.
