The Hancock Ship's Bell, installed in front of the ComNavLant Office Building in Norfolk, VA162 viewsThese photos were taken by Henry McCormick, BT3, B Division, '61-64 and Bill Bentz, BT3, B Division '62-65 who traveled to Norfolk for the express purpose to document the Hancock Bell was truly there. There is a unique story regarding this Visit, which I, Jake Jaccard, will try to post here (Have to find it first).

USS Coral Sea (CVA-43) and USS Hancock (CVA-19) are easily identifiable. Also visible in this photo are Midway (CVA-41), undergoing her SCB-101.66 modernization in the drydock just aft of Coral Sea, and USS Oriskany (CVA-34), undergoing an 8-month overhaul in the background.
